Shock Absorbers

Shock absorbers (which are also called dampers) are devices designed to absorb shock. Car manufacturers use them to reduce bouncing felt by vehicle passengers on bumpy or uneven roads. When they absorb the shock from a vehicle’s movement, shock absorbers translate that movement into heat, which they then disperse.
